Shimmer Julie...

I recently received a wonderful package from Cindy, the mastermind behind Shimmer Polish. She sent me some of her beautiful glitter bombs to show you and I intend to do just that. I will slowly be swatching them and hopefully creating some nail art to share with you. Today I would like to start with Shimmer Julie...

Shimmer Julie is a complex mix of glitter which features most colors of the rainbow. Overall it has appearance of small confetti sprinkled over the nails. I chose to pair it with a metallic holo base of China Glaze Get Outta My Space. One coat is enough to provide a good coverage of glitter, as seen below, when used as a topper. The glitter applies easily and has great distribution of all the different glitter in each brush stroke. Swatches are with a top coat...

Julie struck me as a bit of a party girl with such a colorful mix of glitter. I felt compelled to accent her with a simple purple bow-tie made of rhinestones. I imagine that someone who would inspire such colorful glitter could really rock a look with a purple bow-tie... :D

Here is a closeup of Julie and all the different colors and glitters in this mix...
